Mother's Day flowers

On Mother’s Day, the City of Lethbridge Parks & Cemeteries team try to help honour the memory of loved ones by providing a free rose to visitors. 

The cemeteries staff first began offering the flowers on Mother’s and Father’s Day in 2018. They received positive feedback and visitors appreciated the gesture from the City.

The cemeteries staff are pleased to offer the program again this year and offer flowers to visitors this upcoming Mother’s Day. As Mother’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year at the cemetery, staff want to help make the visit special.

Roses are available to the first 300 visitors. The roses can be picked up beside the Mountain View Cemetery office located at 1210 Scenic Drive South, on Sunday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until they are gone. 

The cemeteries staff will also be offering flowers on Father’s Day which falls on Sunday, June 18.
