Parks & Cemeteries irrigation and operations update

The colder temperatures we have experienced this spring has delayed the start of some of our Parks & Cemeteries operations. Spring maintenance and irrigation start up have been delayed by a few weeks. Once we see continued warmer weather our operations can resume as normal.

Additionally, due to ongoing irrigation issues, park users will see longer watering periods at Legacy Park similar to last year.

A full irrigation cycle in Legacy Park is now taking up to three times longer than normal, resulting in a watering window of 18 plus hours.

City of Lethbridge Park & Cemeteries irrigation department will focus on watering less used areas during peak park hours.

The Parks & Cemeteries department appreciate the patience of park visitors as we work through our delayed start and irrigation setbacks.
