Reconciliation Week Pop-Up Gallery call out

Reconciliation Lethbridge Advisory Committee (RLAC) is calling for submissions during Reconciliation Week 2023 for our Pop-Up Gallery, September 25 to 30, 2023.

This is a themed exhibition that showcases the creative Indigenous artists of Lethbridge and southern Alberta. The theme for this exhibition is ‘Reconciliation through the Arts in Lethbridge’.

We will be accepting recent work in all visual arts media (2D & 3D) from artists who reside within the geographic boundaries of Lethbridge. The show will be hung salon-style throughout the foyer of City Hall. RLAC will be paying all selected artists an honorarium of $200.00.

We hope to include as many artists as possible but due to space limitations, this exhibition will be selected through a committee. Selected works must be available to be dropped off in September. All artists who send their submissions will be forwarded logistical details about drop-off times and procedures.

If you are interested in submitting work to the Pop-Up  Gallery, please email:

  • Maximum of 3 artwork submissions;
  • For each submission, please provide the title, medium, dimensions and year of completion;
  • Hi-res image of the work;
  • Brief artist biography;
  • Short artist statement (no more than one paragraph).

Please use RLAC Art Gallery in the subject line. All artists who submit will receive a follow-up email after submission to acknowledge receipt of their submission.

The deadline for submission is August 15, 2023 at 5 p.m.

Please send submissions & enquiries to: echo.nowak@lethbridge.ca
