Beyond-the-Bin Recycling Roundup - October 17

Tired of all the half-empty paint cans and old electronics hanging around your house? Get ready to clear them out!

The City of Lethbridge is hosting another Beyond-the-Bin Recycling Roundup to collect electronics, paint, used oil materials, tires and household hazardous waste. Join us Saturday, October 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the northwest parking lot of Park Place Mall.

What can I bring?
  • Electronics (corded and cordless/battery powered)
  • Paint, solvent stain and related items
  • Used oil, oil filters and oil containers
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Household items marked with a hazard symbol (corrosive, flammable, reactive/explosive or toxic/poisonous), including:
    • Pesticides and herbicides
    • Cleaning products
    • Automotive cleaning and maintenance products
    • Aerosol containers
Which items are not accepted?

This event is for residential items only. Commercial materials are not accepted, as well as:

  • Anything over 20 litres (five gallons)
  • Needles/biomedical materials
  • Large appliances
  • Appliances containing coolant (e.g., Freon)

Can't make it on Saturday? Electronics, paint, used oil materials, tires and household hazardous waste can be dropped off year-round at the Waste and Recycling Centre.
