Black smoke expected from Fire Station #4 during training exercise

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) is advising the public of upcoming training exercises that may produce visible black smoke in the area. 

There is no risk to the public.

From Tuesday, June 17, to Friday, June 20, firefighters will participate in live fire training at the Station #4 training grounds at 2825, 5 Avenue North. The exercises will take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. 

During this time, residents may notice sporadic black smoke coming from the training facility. This is part of a controlled demonstration.
