College Drive roundabout open house

The City of Lethbridge is moving forward with plans to construct a roundabout at the intersection of College Drive South and 28 Avenue/Tudor Boulevard South.

Residents and business owners are invited to attend an informational open house on Thursday, December 4, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at College Drive Community Church, 2710 College Drive South.

This project was first introduced during the 2025 Community Conversation event. Since then, the design has been refined to incorporate community feedback and meet current traffic, safety and accessibility needs. The open house will share the finalized design and answer any additional questions.

The roundabout will improve east-west traffic flow during peak times while maintaining current conditions for north-south travel. This roundabout project will also:

  • Enhance safety by reducing right-angle collisions
  • Lower vehicle speeds
  • Review intersection lighting upgrades
  • Improve transit access through upgraded bus stops

Construction is planned for the summer of 2026 to minimize disruption while Lethbridge Polytechnic is out of session.

Join us on Thursday to learn more and share your thoughts.
