  • Lethbridge City Council unanimously passed second and third readings for Bylaw 6534 – Wastewater Treatment Plant Train 2 – 20 ML/D Expansion. To complete this project, it will be necessary for the City of Lethbridge to borrow up to $261 million for a period not to exceed 20 years, from the Province of Alberta or another authorized financial institution.   • Mayor Blaine Hyggen provided a verbal update about the future of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Lethbridge due to changes in the Provincial funding model. The full Mayor’s Statement is here
  • From a Closed Meeting matter, a motion from Councillor Belinda Crowson, requesting the Mayor’s Office declare September 9, 2026, as International FASD Awareness Day, carried
  • From a Motion Arising, Council has directed Administration to draft framework for consideration of a proposed all-encompassing Community Awareness Campaign, Event and Recognition Policy, and report back to Council by the end of Q1 2027
