• Lethbridge City Council approved the allocation of one-time funding of $475,000 from the Municipal Revenue Stabilization Reserve (MRSR) to provide temporary resources to complete and implement its Economic Development Strategy as well as potential future development-based incentives. • Starting next year, front-line officers with Lethbridge Police Service will be wearing body-worn cameras. Based on a mandate from the Province of Alberta, the Lethbridge Police Commission requested ongoing funding from Lethbridge City Council to support the costs associated with implementation and the ongoing operating costs for equipment, licensing, disclosure and the Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS). Council approved the funding requests based on recommendations from the July 10 Economic & Finance Standing Policy Committee meeting. Read the full news release
