- Based on a recommendation from Governance SPC, Lethbridge City Council voted to continue for another year with a pilot program where snow and ice will be plowed to the right and where a subscription-based windrow assistance service will be offered. Read the full news release here
- Council supported two Official Business Motions co-sponsored by Councillor Jenn Schmidt-Rempel and Councillor Belinda Crowson. One is regarding Long-Term Financial Sustainability Framework and the other focused on Economic Development Research and Support. Read the full news release here
- Mayor Blaine Hyggen provided a verbal presentation on the current process on Requests from the Public to Present. With the procedure Bylaw, any requests from the public to present go to Agenda Review Committee. They can then either be added to a Standing Policy Committee meeting agenda, have a Council member bring an Official Business Motion to refer to SPC, or, if no Council member brings an Official Business Motion, the matter ends
- Bylaw 6489 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment re: 2425 30 Street West carried first reading. A Public Hearing is scheduled for July 15 at 3 p.m.
- Bylaw 6491 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment re:2401 Westside Dr. W carried first reading. A Public Hearing is scheduled for July 15 at 3 p.m.
- With approval of the Consent Agenda, the following items were passed:
- Recommendation from Governance SPC – Update – Sweeping Service Level Review
- Recommendation from Governance SPC – CC-60 Public Participation Policy
