  • Understanding the critical importance of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to the community, Lethbridge City Council is seeking more time and information related to contract options with Emergency Health Services – Alberta (EHS). Council voted unanimously to advocate to the Alberta Government, asking that they work with municipalities, as partners, on EMS delivery. Read the full news release here
  • Council voted unanimously in favour an Official Business Motion from Mayor Blaine Hyggen to have the Mayor’s Office again declare April 7 as Green Shirt Day. Read the full news release
  • Council voted unanimously in favour of an Official Business Motion from Acting Mayor Belinda Crowson on Membership in Southgrow Regional Initiative. Council has directed the City Manager to assess the costs and potential benefits of rejoining Southgrow, and return with recommendations for Council’s consideration as part of the 2027 Operating Budget Deliberations June 10-11
  • Council voted to accept an Administration Submissions on 2025 Electric Utility Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) Compliance Report
  • Council voted 7-2 for the Chinook Arch Regional Library System (CARLS) to ask its board to maintain the existing per capita levy for its 2027 operating budget and to bring a presentation to the April 30 Community Issues Committee meeting
  • Council carried second and third readings for Bylaw 6512 - Amendment to Bylaw 5270 - Noise Bylaw
