  • From a closed meeting report, Lethbridge City Council voted to officially ratify an agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 70. Read more here
  • Council voted in favour for second and third readings for an update Bicycle Bylaw, which will take effect on January 1, 2025. Read more here
  • A proposed OBM from Mayor Blaine Hyggen and Councillor Ryan Parker, regarding a possible future Remembrance Day crosswalk, was postponed until an update from Administration on its Decorative Crosswalks Policy returns to Council by no later than Q3 of 2025
  • Following a Public Hearing, Council voted in favour of second and third readings to Bylaw 6458, a Land Use Bylaw Amendment for 804 6 Street South
  • As part of the Consent Agenda approval, Council voted to approve the Waste Management Master Plan (WMMP) proposed by the City of Lethbridge’s Waste & Environment department. Read more here
  • Also as part of the Consent Agenda approval, the following items were carried: 

o   Recommendation from the Governance SPC for the 2024 Japanese Garden Master Plan

o   Recommendation of Governance SPC for the Downtown Lawlessness Reduction Task Force - Summary and Recommendation Document

o   Recommendation of Governance SPC - CC-83 Water Conservation Policy

o   First readings to the following proposed Land Use Amendment Bylaws and Area Redevelopment Plan amendments: Bylaw 6459 (404, 408 12 St S); Bylaw 6460 (524, 528, 532 - 13 St S); Bylaw 6461 (524, 528, 532 - 13 St S); Bylaw 6462 (537, 539, 543 - 13 St S); Bylaw 6464 (605 – 5 St S and 510 – 6 Ave S); and Bylaw 6465 (605 – 5 St S and 510 – 6 Ave S). Council will hold Public Hearings and consider second and third readings for each of these items on December 10
