  • Lethbridge City Council voted in favour of second and third readings to Bylaw 6422, a Bylaw to amend the Business Licence Bylaw 5658. This change includes the deregulation of taxi fares in the city, as well as removing the requirement for a taxi top light. Regulations and requirements will continue to exist to ensure taxi drivers are licenced and have criminal record checks, as well as for every taxi cab company to submit their vehicles for inspections
  • As part of the Consent Agenda approval, Council authorized the Mayor to prepare and issue a letter inviting the Lethbridge Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Member of Parliament (MP) to each attend a separate Governance Standing Policy Committee meeting on a semi-annual basis
