Lethbridge City Council unanimously passed an Official Business Motion directing City Administration to complete an Urban Forest Management Update. Admin will present, at the Community Issues Committee (CIC) meeting of November 24, an update on the Urban Forest Management Plan (2021-2024), and inform the community regarding 24 specific programs
Council voted to make changes to the scheduled CIC meeting on September 22. Closed Agenda items from that day will move to the September 29 City Council meeting. The balance of the September 22 agenda will be moved to the October 6 CIC meeting, with the exception that the remaining item relating to the Economic Development Lethbridge Cost Benefit Analysis shall begin at 9 a.m. September 22. Bylaws 6535, 6536, 6537 and 6538 will also be heard on September 22
The following recommendation from CIC was carried as part of the Consent Agenda: Status Update 2026 on Downtown Bike Lanes. City Administration will return to a CIC meeting by the end of Q1 2027 with a follow-up report
Following a Public Hearing, Bylaw 6531 – Land Use Bylaw Amendment re: 1902 9 Ave South, carried second and third readings
Following a Public Hearing, Bylaw 6533 - Road Right of Way Closure adjacent to 1521 - 7 Avenue South, carried second and third readings
