Crews contain fire at two-storey townhouse

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire on Wednesday, July 9, in the 2800 block of 47 Street South. 

At approximately 5:30 p.m., crews from four stations were dispatched to a townhouse, where a fire had started on the front porch and extended to the exterior siding of the home. Smoke was reported throughout the interior of the residence. 

Residents called 9-1-1 and attempted to control the fire with a home extinguisher before crews arrived. Upon arrival, firefighters completed extinguishment and confirmed there was no further spread. 

No injuries were reported, and no other structures were damaged.
