Crews contain southside house fire

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire in the 1600 block of 21 Street South at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Friday, November 21. 

A bystander who saw smoke coming from the home called 9-1-1. Crews from three stations arrived quickly and contained the fire to the interior of the residence. Their rapid response limited the damage and prevented the fire from spreading to the rest of the structure and neighbouring properties. 

The home sustained moderate structural damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
