Downtown fire Sunday morning

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to 712 2 Ave S. for a report of a fire in the garbage containers at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday, January 7.

Upon arrival it was determined the fire had spread to the main building.

13 Firefighter from two stations were able to contain the fire to the building.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate is not known at this time.
