Free skating to help fill the days

As the teachers’ strike continues this week, we know kids (and parents!) are looking for more activities to pass the time. With that in mind, the City of Lethbridge is offering more public skate time at the Cavendish Farms Centre (CFC) arenas.

  • Tuesday, October 21: CFC West, Public Skate, 2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday, October 22: CFC West, Parent/Tot Skate (with sticks) with siblings 12 years and younger, 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. (Ice will be split in half with older kids and sponge pucks.)
  • Wednesday, October 22: CFC East, Public Skate, 1:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 23: CFC East, Family Skate, 10 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
  • Thursday, October 23: CFC West, Parent/Tot Skate (with sticks) with siblings 12 years and younger, 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. (Ice will be split in half with older kids and sponge pucks.)

A similar schedule will be available if the strike continues into the week of October 27 – 31.
