Help guide Library’s 2027-2031 Plan of Service

Lethbridge Public Library is encouraging residents to share their experiences on library services and help guide its upcoming strategic plan.

From now until August 7, residents are invited to provide input on current and future library services through the Library’s Plan of Service survey. Feedback gathered will play a key role in developing the Library's 2027–2031 Plan of Service.

The Plan of Service is the Library Board’s strategic plan and serves as a roadmap for the delivery of library services over a five-year period. The Plan is developed through a community needs assessment and includes the goals, strategies and objectives that will guide service priorities.

"Libraries grow and change with the communities they serve,” says Terra Plato, CEO of Lethbridge Public Library. “Each response we receive will help us make thoughtful decisions that make sure our services continue to meet the needs of Lethbridge for years to come."

This also supports Lethbridge City Council’s Strategic Plan by aligning municipal systems and advancing priorities connected to a culturally vibrant city.

“The Library is a valuable community resource that provides opportunities for learning, connectivity and growth for everyone,” says Mayor Blaine Hyggen. “This work helps build a sense of place, identity and belonging in our community.”

The survey is open to the public, including current library members, occasional visitors and non-library users. It can be completed online or in person at any Lethbridge Public Library location. Participants will be entered into a draw for a $100 Park Place Mall gift card.
