Honouring Indigenous culture and history on Alberta Day

The City of Lethbridge is ready to celebrate Alberta Day.

The celebration marks the official establishment of Alberta as a province in 1905. Although the day is officially recognized on September 1, events are planned over the course of a few days.

In Lethbridge, the 2026 celebrations place a special focus on Indigenous culture, history and community. Our Indigenous Relations Office has several events planned.
