Join the team shaping Lethbridge’s wellbeing

You DO?
Well then, does the City of Lethbridge ever have a great opportunity for you!
Applications are officially open for the Community Wellbeing Advisory Board (CWAB). The board helps guide how the City supports wellbeing across Lethbridge. It works in alignment with the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and the Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy (CWSS), offering recommendations on how federal and provincial community wellbeing funding should be invested locally.
“The community here in Lethbridge stands out,” says Andrew Malcolm, General Manager of Community Social Development. “We support our friends and neighbours when they need it, appreciate what we have and take pride in our beautiful city. We want everyone to feel supported, and we need the help and passion of the community to do that.”
There are eight voting positions open on the CWAB. The City is looking for a diverse range of voices. The City is looking for people who understand the changing needs of the community and want to help shape its future. Indigenous perspectives are essential, and the CWAB includes dedicated seats for Indigenous members.
“We want to have better wellbeing outcomes for everyone in Lethbridge,” says Malcolm. “Whether you’re a post-secondary student, a new Canadian or a fourth-generation resident, we are looking for experienced and innovative decision-makers from the community to help us work towards this goal.”
