Lane closures on westbound Whoop-Up Drive

Travel to west Lethbridge may be slightly delayed by alternating lane closures on westbound Whoop-Up Drive early next week.

Monday, May 4

• Beginning at 7 a.m. the right lane will close. Around midday, that lane will reopen and the left lane will close. All lanes should reopen by 6 p.m.

Tuesday, May 5

• Only the right lane will close. This begins at 9 a.m. and should reopen by 2 p.m.

The westbound centre lane will remain open for the duration of this work, meaning two lanes will always be open.

The lanes are closing so crews can place scaffolding ahead of the upcoming bridge‑coating replacement project, happening in the coming months. More detailed scheduling on this larger project will be shared once it is confirmed.

Motorists are asked to obey posted signs to help keep everyone safe.
