Mayor’s statement on 2024 Provincial Budget

It will take some time to review the entire scope of the 2024 Provincial Budget, including discussions with our City Treasurer, to see the full picture for our city.

One highlight was the $43 million announced for the University of Lethbridge’s Rural Medical Teaching School. It's a great initiative to train and retain doctors in southern Alberta.

As always, City Council and I will continue to advocate for the supports we need in our city to best serve our residents.

I was pleased to attend today’s budget announcement in Edmonton, on behalf of Lethbridge City Council. We look forward to working with the Provincial Government in the coming weeks and months to learn more about what this budget means specifically for Lethbridge.
