National Indigenous Peoples Day events

National Indigenous Peoples Day is on June 21 and to celebrate this occasion, there are events and activities planned by several organizations from around the city.

The opening ceremony will be held at the flag poles outside City Hall on Wednesday, June 21 at 10 a.m. All members of the community are invited to attend to hear from officials and community organizations.

The Lethbridge Public Library has a full day of activities planned to celebrate the day. From Photo scavenger hunts to rock dot art, beading workshop and free Indigenous tacos for lunch.

Fort Whoop-Up is hosting the grand opening of their new Blackfoot Gallery with activities like crafts, vendors and food trucks to celebrate the day.
