New all-way stop: 5 Avenue and 15 Street South

On Friday, October 30, the intersection of 5 Avenue South and 15 Street South will be converted to an all-way stop. 

The change is being made to improve safety for all road users, particularly students and families travelling to and from nearby schools. Increased traffic volumes, collision history and near misses reported by residents were also considered in the decision. 

Message boards have been placed near the intersection to notify roadway users of the upcoming change. 

Drivers are reminded to approach the intersection with caution, come to a complete stop and proceed safely in accordance with all-way stop rules.
