New Public Hours for City Hall Starting in January

Starting January 2, 2024, Lethbridge City Hall public hours will change to 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The change is aimed to enhance the efficiency and service quality at City Hall.

Current City Hall hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Data during the last year shows that 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. has lower customer visits and accounts for only 1.4 per cent of in-person customer service interactions.

Staff will continue to work the same number of hours. During non-public hours, our staff will focus on essential administrative tasks, attend staff meetings, participate in training, and work on projects to further enhance the services we provide to the public.

Virtual and telephone 311 customer service hours will not change. Residents can still self serve 24/7 at Lethbridge.ca or call or chat with the City starting at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Postcards and poster reminders have been placed at City Hall alerting customers to the coming changes.

City Hall public hours will be extended during the last two weeks of June to 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to accommodate for the influx of customers who visit City Hall during tax season.

These adjustments aim to streamline operations, ensuring that we continue meet the public’s needs effectively.
