Northside house fire Tuesday afternoon

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire on 18 Street North at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25.

Crews from four stations responded. Fire was found in a basement bedroom and crews were able to quickly extinguish it. There was significant smoke damage throughout the home.

No injuries to residents or fire crews were reported. Sadly, during a search of the home, two family pets were found deceased. 

Damage is estimated at $200,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
