Northside tire fire under investigation

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a tire fire in the 200 block of 22nd Street North on Sunday, August 3. 

Just before 3 p.m., crews from four stations were dispatched to a fire in the parking lot of a tire manufacturer and repair business. Several 9-1-1 callers reported thick black smoke and large truck tires burning outside the facility. 

Firefighters used multiple hose lines to quickly bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading. No injuries were reported, and no buildings were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lethbridge Police Service.
