Quick response limits damage from commercial structure fire

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1400 block of 2 Avenue South at approximately 1 p.m. on July 27.

Employees at a neighbouring business noticed the fire and called 9-1-1. 

Twenty-four firefighters from four stations responded. The first arriving crews found an active fire at the rear of the building and immediately began suppression efforts. 

Crews quickly contained the fire and prevented it from spreading further into the building or to nearby properties. 

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
