Quick response limits damage to northside building

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire in the 1900 block of 6 Avenue North earlier today. 

At approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, crews from four stations were dispatched to reports of a building fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke and flames coming from the rear of the structure. 

Crews entered the building and quickly contained and extinguished the fire, preventing further spread. 

All residents were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damages are estimated to exceed $250,000.
