Re-Imagine Downtown grant applications for 2026 now open

Have a great idea for an event or program to boost vibrancy in the Downtown?

The 2026 Re-Imagine Downtown Activation Grant program is now open for applications, with $120,000 in funding available for successful applicants.

The ongoing program provides limited financial support for businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, and community-minded individuals to implement initiatives, events, and/or programs that activate the Downtown district. The program has a particular focus on Downtown spaces that are underutilized and under-programmed.

For the 2026 campaign, there will be a particular focus on activating Galt Gardens. Events held in Galt Gardens are eligible for up to $15,000 per initiative, and events outside of Galt Gardens will be eligible for up to $10,000 per initiative.

Additionally, boundaries for eligible districts have expanded to include the Warehouse District and 13 Street North. Events held outside the June to September peak season will also be a priority for 2026.

Applications are open until December 31. Events will be awarded in January 2026.
