Recognizing the people behind the play
It’s time to once again recognize the folks who make sport and recreation so great in our community!
The City of Lethbridge is bringing back Gratitude in Play for a second year. We want to celebrate people whose dedication inspires others. Their efforts (often done behind the scenes and out of the spotlight) showcase the positive role recreation and sport play in bringing people together.
The project runs in conjunction with World Gratitude Day on September 21. Local nominations are open until Friday, September 18. Nominees can include:
- Coaches
- Volunteers
- Teammates
- Staff members
- Community supporters
Really… anyone whose kindness, leadership and encouragement ripples throughout our parks, facilities and fields.
Selected nominees will be featured on City of Lethbridge social media channels and other City platforms during World Gratitude Day week. One outstanding nominee will also receive a special gratitude plaque.
