Reminder that 2025 Property Taxes are due by June 30

We ask those coming to City Hall to pay to please be patient if there are lines and to please be courteous to our City staff who are here to help you.
For those who have recently acquired property in Lethbridge and have not received their tax notice, proof of ownership will be required when contacting 311 or visiting City Hall for a copy.
Due to the potential postal strike, residents are advised not to send tax payments through the mail. Payments must be received by the due date. Penalties will apply to all outstanding tax balances as of July 1, 2025, and late payment penalties will not be waived due to postal disruptions or failure to receive your Tax Notice. See the back of your notice for the full penalty schedule.

City Council approved the 2025 Municipal Property Tax Bylaw on April 29, with a direct tie-in to the 2023-2026 City of Lethbridge Operating Budget, approved in November 2022. The money raised from property taxes funds our municipal services including policing, fire and emergency services, infrastructure and roadways, transit and human services to help all residents within our community. Keeping these services working is essential for a healthy and functional community.
