Roof fire quickly contained on 15 Street North

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a house fire in the 200 block of 15 Street North at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14. 

When firefighters arrived, flames were coming from the southeast corner of the roof. Crews acted quickly and brought the fire under control. 

During a search of the home, two occupants were found inside. Firefighters helped both residents safely evacuate. They were assessed by paramedics and cleared to return home after the fire was fully extinguished. 

Crews completed an extensive overhaul to ensure the fire had not extended into other parts of the structure. The fire was contained to the roof, with some damage to the room directly below. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
