Run to Remember 2025
The City of Lethbridge Parks & Cemeteries team is honoured to welcome the community back for the Run to Remember. The walk/run takes participants through the serene pathways of Mountain View Cemetery. The second annual event takes place on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Last year’s inaugural run brought together 150 participants, quickly establishing the Run to Remember as a new local tradition. More than a race, it’s an opportunity to honour loved ones, celebrate life and strengthen community connections in a truly meaningful setting.
Before hitting the course, participants will pause for a moment of silence to offer reflection for those they carry in memory. Loved ones’ names can be written on race bibs and a community memory board, creating a powerful shared tribute.
Event highlights include:
- 2.5K route – a single scenic loop through historic grounds
- 5K route – a double loop for those looking for more distance
- Chip timing and custom medals, with awards for the top three male and female finishers in each age category
- Maximum 200 participants
“Cemeteries are places of history, reflection and beauty,” says Darcee Richardson, Cemetery Office Administrator. “The Run to Remember reminds us that Cemeteries are also places for living connections - they help us appreciate our past, our health and each other.”
For safety, cemetery gates will close to vehicle traffic from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on race day.
Claim your spot today at www.racepro.ca/runtoremember. Registration closes Saturday, October 4, 2025.
