The Crowsnest Trail Pathway phase one marks a milestone

Phase one of the Crowsnest Trail Pathway is ready for public use!

The first section begins at Mayor Magrath Drive South and 4 Avenue South. It runs east, along the south side of Crowsnest Trail (Hwy 3), until it reaches 28 Street South.

The pathway is a shared lane, fully paved for easy travel. It has safety features like steel guardrails and buffer zones to keep users safe from nearby traffic.

Phase two of construction begins in the Spring, continuing along the south side of Crowsnest Trail and into the WT Hill Business Park. It includes a protected pedestrian rail crossing, intersection upgrades and increased pedestrian connections. The pathway will end at 4 Avenue South and WT Hill Boulevard South, strategically positioned for future connectivity with the MPE Link Pathway.

Weather permitting, the pathway is expected to be complete by the end of August 2026.
