Three playgrounds set for replacement this summer

Three neighbourhood playgrounds will get new equipment this summer.

 The playground replacement projects underway or starting soon, include:

  • Tot Lot located at the corner of 29 Street and 11 Avenue South – Beginning today the playground replacement will start. The playground area will be fenced off for the construction. The work is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting.
  • Squamish Park located at 6 Squamish Court West – The playground replacement is expected to begin July 17, this date may be subject to change. The playground will be closed during the construction.
  • Kinsmen Park located at 1009 9 Avenue South - The playground replacement is expected to begin August 7, this date may be subject to change. The playground will be closed during the construction.

The Tot Lot is funded by the Playground Lifecycle program. Kinsmen and Squamish playgrounds are funded by the Playground Lifecycle program as well as the Accessible Playgrounds program.

If your regular playground is under construction, the City has over 130 parks and natural areas to explore discover and play.
