Two parking stalls being re-added to 7 Street Downtown

Starting today, August 5, there will be a series of partial road closures on 7 Street South, between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue, to allow for the re-addition of on-street parking stalls.

Sidewalks and access to businesses will not be impacted by this work. The focus of the upgrades being completed is to expand the overall parking on the street.

The work is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday, August 13, weather permitting. There will be temporary traffic controls in place during this time which may limit access to parking in the area.

Letters were delivered to businesses last week, alerting them to the work. 

We also recently added two stalls to 7 Street South between 4 Avenue and 5 Avenue, as well seven new stalls on 6 Street South at the corner of 4 Avenue at the start of May.

Stay safe, follow signs and reduce speed

Please maintain a safe distance while work is in progress. As crews and contractors work to upgrade and maintain the streets and roads, motorists are asked to slow down and pay attention to signage to keep crews and themselves safe.
