Unofficial results for the 2025 Lethbridge Mayoral contest

Returning Officer Bonnie Hilford says that with 20/20 polls reporting, the unofficial results of the Lethbridge Mayoral contest show that Lethbridge residents have re-elected Blaine Hyggen as Mayor-Elect with 7,591 votes.

Hyggen was first elected to Council in 2013, then re-elected as a Councillor in 2017. He won the Mayoral race in the 2021 Election and became the 26th Mayor of Lethbridge.

In the Mayoral contest, Ryan Mennie received 6,716 votes, Quentin Carlson received 1,864 votes and Michael Petrakis received 698 votes.           

Votes are still being counted by hand to determine the City Councillor and School Board Trustee contests. Visit www.lethbridge.ca/election to see the in-progress numbers.

In the 2025 Lethbridge Municipal and School Election, 17,102 people cast a ballot, which is 19.3 per cent of the 88,647 eligible voters.

The 2025 Lethbridge Municipal and School Election results will become official at noon on Friday, October 24.

The Swearing-In Ceremony for the Mayor-Elect and Council-Elect will take place on Monday, October 27, at 1:30 p.m. There will be a livestream on City’s YouTube channel.
