Upcoming maintenance along Whoop Up Drive

Beginning this weekend, motorists can expect some lane closure delays along Whoop Up Drive.

A single eastbound lane will be closed, and two lanes closed westbound of Whoop Up Drive will be closed on Sunday May 7 for guard rail maintenance. This work is expected to be completed by 1 p.m. that afternoon, weather permitting. Consider this may cause delays in both directions for the posted time.

As well, the Bridge Rehabilitation project will start up again for this year on Whoop Up Drive eastbound over the Oldman river. Volker Stevin will begin this work on the bridge barriers on Monday May 8, at 9 a.m. and is expected to be ongoing throughout the spring. There may be rolling lane closures during this work.

Residents are advised to drive with caution in all posted construction sites and follow signage accordingly for everyone’s safety.
