Upcoming permanent road closure: 30 Street West

Beginning Wednesday, June 10, 30 Street West will be closed to through traffic between Garry Drive West and Walsh Drive West. 

The closure is being implemented to address shortcutting traffic, dust impacts on adjacent properties and road safety concerns in the area. 

Drivers currently using this road as a through route are advised to use Metis Trail West or other alternative routes. 

Once closed, local traffic access will be maintained. Residents and property owners will continue to be able to access their homes from either end of the closed section. 

To support safety and compliance, signage will be installed at both ends of the closure, and jersey barriers will be placed at the midpoint to prevent non-local traffic from passing through the area.
