Westside house fire Wednesday evening

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire in the 200 block of Heritage Boulevard West at about 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26.

Crews from four stations responded to fire burning through a kitchen window and were able to quickly extinguish it. There is extensive fire damage to the main floor kitchen and significant smoke damage throughout the home.

Fortunately, the family was out of the home at the time of the fire and no injuries to fire crews were reported.

Damage is estimated at $350,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
