Westside structure fire early Thursday morning

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire on Blackfoot Manor West at about 1:10 a.m. on Thursday, September 21.

Eighteen firefighters from three stations responded. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from a single car attached garage at the front of the home. The occupants were safely evacuated, and the first crew put the fire under control. No further fire extension was found, and smoke was cleared.

No injuries to the occupants or to firefighters was reported.

Estimated damage is about $50,000 to $75,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
