To improve road safety, the City of Lethbridge is setting a new, consistent speed limit of 70 km/h on Whoop-Up Drive. This decision is intended to reduce the risk of serious collisions, and potentially tragic consequences, along one of the city’s busiest corridors.

Phase one upgrades are complete at Henderson Ice Centre. Four new dressing rooms include private bathrooms and showers, making the facility more functional, accessible and welcoming.

Community service and sustainability are cornerstones to a new collective agreement between the City of Lethbridge and the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Union Local #237.

Unregulated electric dirt bikes are colliding with community safety and carving up Lethbridge’s River Valley.

In recent months, police have noticed more electric dirt bikes (e-dirt bikes) being used on trails in the River Valley and on city streets.

With the drop in temperatures and snow arriving today, residents are encouraged to adjust their driving habits to the winter conditions. To help keep Lethbridge moving during winter months, the City of Lethbridge’s Transportation Operations plows and sands roads regularly on a priority system. 

Lethbridge Transit and local partners are bringing busloads of festive cheer this holiday season.
