Beginning Monday, November 20, the Park ‘n’ Bark will be closed to the public for the installation of light poles and bases.

The light fixtures will be installed at a later date which will complete the project of lighting the park.

The new Inclusive and Accessible Play Space at Galt Gardens is now open. Located immediately adjacent to the Rotary Centennial Fountain in the southeast corner of the four-hectare park, the new space features inclusive and accessible play equipment, rubber surfacing, a plaza space and park furniture.

The City of Lethbridge Parks & Cemeteries team is thrilled to introduce Community Play Boxes. These boxes are filled with sport and play equipment for anyone in the community to use, at no cost.

Catering to the ever-increasing popularity of the sport, the City of Lethbridge is excited to officially open six more pickleball courts.

The east position of the Wade Galloway Skate Park will be temporarily closed this week, as some concrete repairs will be taking place from today until Saturday.

The City of Lethbridge needs to remove goldfish and koi out of Chinook Lake and Elma Groves stormpond. Goldfish and koi are non-native species introduced into lakes and stormponds that cause problems for the native species and the habitat.   

As the weather heats up, be sure to cool off with one of four new drinking water stations as part of a pilot project around the city.

The City of Lethbridge is welcoming residents to participate in Goldfish Derby Days to learn about invasive goldfish and koi found in local stormponds.

Elm trees make up a significant and important part of the Lethbridge Urban Forest. There are approximately 5,000 public and 5,000 private elm trees in Lethbridge.

In celebration of International Pollinator Week, the City of Lethbridge is excited to be officially declared a Bee City by Bee City Canada! Bee City is a signature program of Pollinator Partnership Canada (P2C), a national organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of pollinators and their ecosystems through conservation, education, and research.
