Spring is in full bloom in Lethbridge! That means the days are warming up, trees are leafing out and critters are… crittering??

To help everyone enjoy the season, the Parks Department is sharing an easy-to-read breakdown of service levels for local park spaces.
Irrigation
- All systems turn on June 1. The order of priority is:
- Regional parks, sports fields and schools
- Cemeteries, community core parks, Downtown core parks and neighbourhood parks
- Neighbourhood pocket parks, linear parks and buffers
- Turf watering: one inch per week during summer months but is reduced during wetter conditions
- Shrubs watering (bubblers): two gallons per week
- Depending on the weather conditions, some systems may be delayed in running regular watering cycles
- The City typically irrigates during the evening, but the public may see watering during the day if there are issues or if staff are doing repairs
