Ballot counting in progress, unofficial results being added as counts are reported

Update at 2:10 p.m. on October 22:

Returning Officer, Bonnie Hilford says 20/21 polls are now reporting for the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Separate School Division Ward 2. Visit www.lethbridge.ca/election to see the in-progress numbers.

A statement from Returning Officer Bonnie Hilford:

During an audit of the ongoing unofficial Election results, a duplication from one ballot box of reported numbers in the Mayoral contest has been discovered.

The adjustment and correction did not affect the outcome for the Mayor-Elect. Only the numbers and percentages have changed.

The count from a Mayoral contest box of 633 ballots from the YMCA on October 17 was entered twice into the results database. The same ballots were not counted twice; the numbers were entered twice.
