Blue Sky Centre
The Blue Sky Centre is a community-focused space offering guided and self-facilitated educational experiences, providing residents of all ages with hands-on learning opportunities dedicated to waste reduction, diversion and management.
Daily Information
Where is the Blue Sky Centre located?
The Blue Sky Centre is located within the City of Lethbridge’s Waste & Recycling Centre, at 213044 Township Road 100, Lethbridge County, Alberta.
Go north along 28 Street North until the road bends to the right (approximately 7 km out of town). The Waste & Recycling Centre is located just after the bend, on the left-hand side of the road.
Upon arrival, let a scale house attendant know you will be visiting the Blue Sky Centre. They will usher you through, free of charge, and provide directions for the rest of the way.
What is the purpose of the Blue Sky Centre?
The traditional waste cycle continues to deplete natural resources and shorten landfill lifespans as resources are expended to produce items that are used and disposed of. The Blue Sky Centre hopes to create an educated and engaged community, actively participating in sustainable waste management and waste reduction. By closing the waste loop, we can ensure we have blue skies for future generations to come.
