Construction season continues in north Lethbridge

Two water-related projects may impact northside commuters. 

13 Street North 

Crews are performing sewer repairs in the 1000 Block of 13 Street North.  

Both directions of 13 Street North, from 10 Avenue North to 13 Avenue North, are closed and detours are in place. 

This work is expected to be done by Tuesday, May 20, weather permitting. 

5 Avenue North 

A water main is being renewed on 5 Avenue North, between 13 Street North and 16 Street North. 

Full detours are in place for eastbound and westbound motorists on 5 Avenue North. There will be access to the strip mall from 13 Street North. 

This project is scheduled to take four to six weeks to complete, weather permitting. 

To keep workers safe this construction season, motorists are encouraged to be mindful of crews and follow all posted signage.
