Council Highlights May 13, 2025
- Lethbridge City Council publicly released past confidential meeting documents relating to the Lethbridge and District Exhibition (LDE). Council gave direction at their January 23, 2024, meeting to release documents that had previously been kept confidential. Since that direction, City Administration has been gathering and vetting information to ensure that it adheres to privacy legislation prior to today’s public release. - Council postponed an Official Business Motion from Mayor Blaine Hyggen, regarding Membership on Border Mayors Alliance, to its May 27 meeting
- Following a Public Hearing, Council passed second and third readings for Bylaw 6484 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment re: 3007 26 Avenue South
- Following a Public Hearing, Council passed second and third readings for Bylaw 6486 – Land Use Bylaw Amendment re: Blackwolf 2 Phase 2 (2200 44 Avenue North)
- With approval of the Consent Agenda, the following items carried:
- Recommendation from Audit SPC - Budget Appropriations Unexpended Processes and Procedures
- Recommendation from Governance SPC - New Transit Citizen and Customer Administrative Committee (TCCAC)
- Recommendation from Governance SPC - CC-27 - Monuments - Policy Updates
- Bylaw for first reading Recommendation from Governance SPC - Bylaw 6488 - Community Requirements Appeal Board. Second and third readings will take place May 27
- After being pulled from Consent Agenda, a recommendation from Assets and Infrastructure SPC on Partners for Climate Protection (GHG) was carried
