Crowsnest Trail Pathway construction moves into phase two
The next step for a key connector project is ready to roll!

The fully paved, multi-use, three-kilometre Crowsnest Trail Pathway will connect the high-traffic corridor between Mayor Magrath Drive South and the WT Hill Business Park area. Once complete, it will offer a smooth, convenient route with safety features like steel guardrails and buffer zones from nearby traffic.
Phase one wrapped up in late 2025. That segment begins at Mayor Magrath Drive South and 4 Avenue South. It runs east, along the south side of Crowsnest Trail (Hwy 3), to 28 Street South.
Phase two kicks off Monday, April 6. This final stretch continues along the south side of Crowsnest Trail and into the WT Hill Business Park. It includes a protected pedestrian rail crossing, upgraded intersections and enhanced pedestrian connections. The pathway will finish at 4 Avenue South and WT Hill Boulevard South – perfectly positioned to link with the future MPE Link Pathway.

If Mother Nature cooperates, the full pathway is expected to be ready for use by the end of August 2026.
